WEL-PAC Dashi Kombu Dried Kelp 115g

Dashi konbu dried seaweed can be used to make soup stock called "dashi" that is often the base for Japanese soup and simmered dishes. To make soup stock, wipe the seaweed with a clean cloth to remove dirt, it shouldn't be washed under running water. Soak the seaweed in water in a pot for 1-2 hours. Simmer on low heat and bring the water to a boil. Just before the water boils, remove the seaweed.

How To Use

• Heat up a sheet of kombu in a pot of water until just before boiling.
• Remove from heat and add katsuobushi bonito flakes.
• Strain out the kombu and katsuobushi for smooth liquid dashi.
