Shinshu Miso follows the traditional method of miso production originated in the Shinshu Region of Japan. The miso has the distinguish golden yellow colour and smooth paste texture.
Fresh and light flavoured white miso, made from soy beans and rice. The mild taste of this miso makes it particularly good for miso sauces or dressing, as well as miso soup.
White miso is made from soy beans and a high percentage of rice which are fermented to create a light, slightly sweet taste. White miso is popular in the western regions on Japan such as Kyoto and Osaka.
Miso is most famous for miso soup, but has many other uses.
